Erudition and clarity come naturally to the jazz pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, who has led a charmed career in his native Italy stretching back some 40 years.  He has been one of the best known and appreciated jazz pianists in the European jazz scene performing and recording with legends such as of Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Paul Motian, Charlie Haden, Chris Potter, Marc Johnson, Joey Baronand many more. A fluid technician with a foothold in the classical tradition, he has always done well to indulge his exploratory urges, pushing beyond the respectable sprawl of his comfort zone.
