About The Chant Of Time

The Chant Of Time (1997; Alfa Jazz). Joey Baron replaces Motian in this trio, and the spirit of Keith Jarrett is a little more prominent on the first two pieces, "Thiaki" and "September Waltz", both composed by Pieranunzi. Fats Waller's "Jitterbug Waltz" swings like the clappers and is treated with impish wit and humour. Lennon/McCartney's "Fool On The Hill" is given a rhapsodic performance on solo piano by Pieranunzi.
